Our commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not a retrofit — it is considered when we design a page, not after.
What we have built in
- Keyboard access. Every interactive control — navigation, filters, the cart drawer, the search overlay — is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
- Skip link. A "skip to content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
- Semantic structure. Real headings in order, landmark regions, and lists marked up as lists so screen readers can navigate by structure.
- Alternative text. Product images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Colour contrast. Body text and interactive elements are checked against the AA contrast ratio. Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Live regions. Cart updates, filter result counts and form errors are announced to screen readers.
- Forms. Every field has a persistent visible label, and errors are described in text next to the field rather than by colour alone.
- Reduced motion. Animations and smooth scrolling are disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
- Zoom and reflow. The layout reflows to 320px and supports 200% zoom without loss of content or horizontal scrolling.
- Text resizing. Type is set in relative units so browser text-size settings are respected.
Known limitations
We would rather be honest about the gaps than claim full conformance:
- Some product descriptions are imported from our supplier catalogue and may contain inconsistent heading levels or formatting.
- A small number of product photographs are supplier-provided and may have lower contrast between the product and its background.
- Third-party components such as the payment provider's checkout fields are outside our direct control; we choose providers that publish their own accessibility conformance.
These are on our list, and we work through them as we refresh content.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site stops you completing a task, we want to know — it is the fastest way for us to fix it. Email support@whipsupplyhub.com with the page address and a short description of what happened.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 working days and to give you a fix or a workaround within 10 working days.
Another way to order
If you cannot complete an order on the site for any reason, call us on +44 20 3900 0000 during Mon–Fri, 9:00–17:00 GMT and we will take the order with you directly. You will not pay more for ordering this way.
Enforcement
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which provides free advice on accessibility and discrimination in the UK.
